Terms of use
Effective 4 November 2026 · version 2026-11-04
These terms are an agreement between you and Kayode Adewonise John ("we", "us"), who run InLine. By creating an account you accept them and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use InLine.
1. What InLine is, and isn't
InLine keeps an honest list of the order in which corps members arrive at their CDS meeting, so the people who come early are recognised first. It is an independent project and is not run, endorsed or approved by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). It does not replace the official attendance taken by your Local Government Inspector, and it has no say in clearance, allowances, postings or any other NYSC matter.
2. Who can use it
- Serving NYSC corps members, using their own real name and state code.
- One account per person, used on one phone at a time.
- You must be at least 18.
3. Your account
- You sign in with your state code and password. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
- If you forget your password, use "Forgot password?" on the login screen: we email a code to the address on your account. Keep that email account secure too.
- Your account moves to a new phone when you sign in there, except on a CDS day. We email you when it moves.
4. Checking in fairly
A check-in must be you, at the venue, at the time you actually arrived. You must not:
- check in for someone else, or let anyone check in for you;
- fake your location, or use a photo, video or another person's face to pass the selfie check;
- set up your face on someone else's account, or someone else's face on yours;
- use a modified app, scripts or automation, or try to get around InLine's security;
- harass other members, or upload anything unlawful or offensive.
5. Excos and the platform admin
Your group's excos manage the group in InLine: they set CDS days, decide appeals, reset face checks, review face matches and remove members. Excos must use these powers fairly and only for the group's CDS; their actions are recorded in the group's activity log. We, as platform admin, verify groups and can suspend groups or accounts that break these terms.
6. The arrival list
We work hard to make the list accurate, but phones, GPS and networks can fail, so we can't guarantee it's always right. If a check-in fails, you can appeal to your excos. Disagreements about your group's list are for your excos to settle; questions about official attendance are for your Local Government Inspector, not us.
7. Notifications and emails
We send your sign-up code, security notices (for example when your account moves to a new phone) and CDS updates. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings; security emails can't be turned off while you have an account.
8. Suspension and ending
We may suspend or delete an account, or a group, that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk. You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the delete-account page.
9. The service
InLine is provided "as is" and "as available". We may change, pause or stop features, and the service may be unavailable at times, including on a CDS day. We'll try to give notice of big changes in the app.
10. Our responsibility
As far as Nigerian law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for decisions that excos, your Local Government Inspector or NYSC make, whether or not they used InLine's list. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or your rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we'll update the date and version above, and tell you in the app if the change matters. Using InLine after a change means you accept the new terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and Nigerian courts handle any dispute.
